Hello and welcome to the Little Shop of Marvels. We've got a wide range of gift ideas for you, and still time to get them shipped before the holidays. Take a look around, and if you see something you like, just click on the button to add it to your cart. We're adding new products as we find them, so make sure to check back often. And remember, our online order system is secure. We are notified that someone has made an order, and then we go to our secure site to get all the details. Your card information is never sent out by email.

There are a lot of online gift shops out there, so what makes the Little Shop of Marvels special?

It's a combination of things. First off, all our prices are in Canadian dollars. That means we are offering most products at less than the suggested retail price. If you are used to paying in US dollars, you'll be spending about 15-25% less on your purchases here than you would elsewhere.

Second is our shipping policies. We will ship products to a large number of locations, and we will send gifts directly to the recipient if you prefer. You do not have to wait to recieve your order and then send it along to its final destination yourself, we will take care of that for you. Just fill in the recipient's information on our secure order form and we will be happy to send your order there.

Third is our payment policies. We accept a variety of payment methods. Our online order system is easy and secure. If you are paying directly by credit card, your card information is never sent out by email, it is kept on our secure site server.

We also accept Pay Pal Payments.

Fourth is our commitment to helping others. We are parnering with nonprofit groups and charities and offering a portion of our online profits every month to worthy causes. Currently we are active with the Edmonton Food Bank. We are interested in partnerships in other areas as well. Fifth, we encourage our customers to share in our success. If you like what you see here, and you know other people who would as well, we encourage you to join us. Since there is too much out there for us to store on our site, our catalogues have everything we sell here, and more.

Finally, we have a wide variety of distributors, and the resources to search for rare items that may be difficult to find elsewhere. In our first month of business we fullfilled requests for two DVDs that our clients had found unavailable. We searched, we found, we ordered. Just go to our Special Orders Form and fill it in. Once we find what you are looking for, we will contact you and quote you a price. If you like it, we will place the order. In addition to our searches, you may also find what you want with one of our affiliates. Check them out from our links, and if you buy something from them, you get what you want, and we get something back as well. It costs you nothing extra on your purchase.

The drawing item is a Napa Valley custom Monopoly game. The site itself, however, is everything to do with wine. If you're a wine lover, definitely check this site out. They've got wine, books, wine products and gourmet food to enjoy with wine. The only trouble is, they've also got a large number of graphics which may slow load time considerablly on dialup connections.

ProActive Electronics - ProActive Electronics is not your typical electronics store. Our exclusive deal-finder technology reviews hundreds of electronics exchanges and marketplaces to find the best deals on everything from air conditioners to Plasma TVs.

This electronics vendor, and linked jewlery and garden supplier, are reasonable sites. They are not graphics intense and so should load fairly quickly. The only real problem is they seem to be a bit poorly put together. For example, none of the electroics items had picturs, even though they said they did. I'm also still not sure if any of the three ship outside the US.

An office supply shop with a large varied inventory. The front page has a fair amount of graphics, but deeper pages are less graphics intense. The site is generally well organized and intuitive. The only problem is it is unlear whether they will ship outside the US. Orders from Alaska and Hawaii are billed $25 USD extra, so even if they do ship outside of the US, it might not be worth it.

Ever want to be an industry leader? Well now's your chance. Get into the corporation game. The site is fairly graphics intense, and the game is online, so Dialup is probably not advised. The site is easy to navigate and has a lot of support information.

Multimeta: The Meta Search Engine - multimeta.com: Simultaneous search in the international top search engines. Add Multimeta meta search forms to your site and find everything you need with Multimeta.

Metasearch engine, but seems to get most of it's connections from Google. You can submit your site to them, but it will cost a fee. There are meta engines just as good out there.

CatholicMatch.com - Your match made in heaven! -

A personals/Dating site, but geared towards Christian love seekers. This site has a lot more than just the personals section as well. There is a huge list of information articles in the Preview area. The site is quick to load as well.

SendWreaths.com - Earn 8% commission on all SendWreaths.com sales.

Very nice shopping site. This site devotes a page to each sort of item it carries. The link is for wreaths (which are extensive) but there are also sections for golf, airplanes, African, swords and other replicas and so forth. They ship worldwide so long as customs allows the articles. There are a lot of graphics but they are generally very small, so load time should be good. A lot of unusual items here.

This site sells cell phone signal boosters. With such a limited inventory, there probably shouldn't be as much graphic content as there is.

Free to join, and can earn discounts on online purchases from participating merchants. There are some big name retail members including McAfee, Target and Gateway. The only problem I see is that it's a software system, so you do have to install in on your system.

Online Shopping Deals

This is a major shopping site. They've got a huge number of links to all sorts of shops. This is their advantage and disadvantage. With the number of connections they've got, you'll be able to find someone that sells what you want. With the number of links they've got, it may take a while, and they have no search function. If you are looking for a particular product, this is a great place to check. If you're looking for a particular site, it may not work out so well.

Looking to decorate your walls a little? This is definitely the place to go. They've got posters of all kinds ready for your order. The navigation is very easy and the catagories are self explanatory. The only snag is the larger product catagories have a lot of items on one page, so it will slow down a bit for dial-up users. They keep the page images small, though, so load times are kept down. You can see prices and images for the posters alone, framed, and mounted. All in all, this site is dedicated to having services available for anyone interested in posters.

Crazy-Discounts

Crazy-Discounts has a lot of merchandise at wholesale prices available to the public with no minimum purchase. Several of our items come from them, so if you want lower prices and don't mind doing the work of searching and ordering, this is the place to go.

The product pages are fairly long with tumbnails of all products, so the pages can be slow loading. They're order and shopping cart software is very simple to use and they place and ship all orders very quickly. The prices are extemely good on most products.

Kooky Kave

Kooky Kave sells discount video games of many types. X-Box, Playstation, Game Cube, they've got them all. Check them out before paying retail.

The site design is fairly graphics intensive, but they compensate by keeping graphics small and only a few per page, which keeps load time down. Site information is sparse. I'm not entirely sure, for example, where they ship to, which can be a liability. Over all, the site is easy to work with, however.

Unique Toys

The site is well structured and not very graphic intense, although they do have some large graphics which can slow load time. THe main problem I have with the site is that they are not currently taking new orders, and don't tell you this until you attempt to place an order. They are advertising a new collector's set, but no information on when they will be active again.

ClickXchange

Simple to understand, easy to use, searchable so you can find affiliates that are in line with your store site, and best of all, the pages are quick. I did all my search and link work from a dial up at work, and it took less than an hour to sign up, log in, and find ten potential affiliates. Very well set up to get you started fast, and it's free to join too.

Easy to search, but with a more limited stock than allposters.com. They're site information is easy to find, with instructions on how to order and where they ship. The site is easy to use, but only if you live in the US.

1stVideo.com - Source for rare movies, out of print and hard to find videos, plus great quality used and new movies and video games for sale, starting at $2.69. Ships Internationally.

Very well set up site. The pages load fast and finding information and products is easy. The site has a useful search function built in, they ship fast and to a large number of destinations. This should definitely be your first destination if you're looking for movies or video games.

Media Sources.com gives you access to some of the lowest prices on the net for DVDs. They have sources in the US, Canada, UK and Australia. If you buy a lot of DVDs, it is definitely worth your while to check this place out.

There isn't a whole lot on the site, so loading time is fast. The members area is more extensive, but almost pure text, so loading is again not a problem. I use this site myself, and they are very responsive to customer problems. If you are a movie collector, this place is well worth the price.

The whole site is almost all text, so load times are next to nothing. It's all free, so there's no reason not to visit.

This is the site that designed the main Shop logo. It is very easy to use, fast loading, and best of all, free. It can't do a lot of complicated work, but it is exceptional for some basic text logos. They've got a nice collection of graphic types, so most people should be able to find something worthwhile. They can also design buttons and a few other site graphics. Again, it's absolutely free.
